Monmouth Beach is one of the jewels of the Jersey shore and was incorporated on March 9, 1906, from a portion of Ocean Township. Located just over an hour from NYC and 90 minutes from Atlantic City, Monmouth Beach is a favorite spot for year-round and seasonal living. As of the last census, the population was 3,279 and the borough has a land area of 1.076 square miles. With the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Shrewsbury River to the west, Monmouth Beach appeals to boater and beachgoers alike. With a mix of single-family housing, townhomes, and high rise condominiums, Monmouth Beach has housing options to meet almost every need. Monmouth Beach has one elementary school, located on Hastings Place, and high school students attend Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch.
