East Gate – Oceanport, NJ

East Gate, located on the site of the former Fort Monmouth in Oceanport, is a pet-friendly community of 68 homes, offering a mix of townhouses, duplexes, and single-family homes.  Located on the site of the former Fort Monmouth, East Gate was originally built to house the officers stationed at the fort.  The brick construction homes have been completely redone and offer a blend of modern living with classic styling.  The townhomes offer three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a basement and a garage.  The duplexes, which are larger than the townhomes, also offer three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a basement, and most have garages as well.  The single-family homes offer four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a basement, and either a one or two-car garage.

For rail commuters, East Gate is just about a mile from the Little Silver train station and for those who commute by car, the Garden State Parkway is about 15 minutes to the door.  Do you need to take the ferry to NYC?  No problem, it's just about a 20-minute drive from East Gate.

For those who enjoy summer fun at the beach, local beaches are about a 10-minute drive.  People who like downtown Red Bank or Asbury Park will like that fact that Asbury Park is about 20 minutes from East Gate and Red Bank is about 10 minutes by car.  For shoppers, The Grove in Shrewsbury is less than 10 minutes from East Gate and Monmouth Mall is about the same distance.
